Every conflict, problem or issue in the world merits a creative effort. This is not instead of analytical and judgemental thinking – but in addition.
True creative ideas are both logical and valuable in hindsight. They can still be ignored but they may influence further thinking on the matter.
It is sheer arrogance to assume that our conclusions reached without creative effort are the best conclusions. Mathematically speaking, this is very unlikely because no amount of excellence of logic can overcome limited perceptions (Goedel’s Theorem).
If you never fish you are never going to catch any fish. If you do fish you cannot guarantee that at any particular moment you are going to catch a fish. It is the same with creative effort. You cannot guarantee an excellent idea every time you use creativity. But if you never use creativity you are never going to get better ideas.
