Design versus judgement

Design requires both a willingness to take this path rather than judgment – and some creative skill. Analysis of information does not, by itself, produce a full range of alternatives. Some of these have to be designed rather than discovered. Unfortunately creativity and design are not part of traditional education. Nor are they part of the behaviour of politicians. So design efforts are rarely made. Sometimes, it could help to call in people with experience in creativity and design.
