'ebne'
01/07/2008

Here is a much needed new word that I have invented.

The word is 'ebne'. This means 'excellent but not enough'. Our culture of thinking insists that you must prove something wrong in order to ask for a change - hence argument and that idiom. The rear left wheel of a motor car is excellent. There is nothing wrong with it at all. You cannot criticise it. If , however, you believed that a rear  left wheel was sufficient by itself then we have a clear case of ebne. A man with one leg has an excellent leg but it is ebne.

Our existing thinking system and methods are ebne.

They are excellent in themselves but not enough.
