Another language problem with 'design'

There is another language problem with the word 'design'.

Design is putting together what we have to deliver the values we want. Design is every bit as important as analysis but is totally neglected in ordinary education, which focuses on knowledge and analysis. The word 'design' has come to mean aesthetic design of a lamp, a cup, a sofa etc. This is then taught in specialised areas. But everyone needs to design in the sense of creating and delivering value. This very serious problem with both the words 'creativity' and 'design' have powerful and dangerous effects in education.
